Some of Jason’s competitive shooting achievements include multiple top gun awards as well as best team performance in the history of the USAF Defender Challenge and the USAF Air Mobility Command Rodeo Roundup shooting competitions in 1999 and 2004.
After completing over 23 years in the Air Force, Jason decided pursue his passion in firearms by starting Minuteman Armory. Today he is continuing his education in gunsmithing through American Gunsmithing Institute while providing firearms training, sales/transfers, and weapons inspection and repair.
In addition to these competitions, Jason received extensive firearms and tactics training while attending numerous training events led by the US Marshalls, FBI, Air Force, Army, Marines, and Oklahoma Highway Patrol. This training was essential in preparing Jason for multiple trips to the Middle East as well as establishing security for government and military aircraft used for providing embassy relief in high terrorist and criminal threat areas in South America. Jason’s training was also put to use when he was selected to operate on the Air Forces Emergency Services Team where he was Fire Team Leader for conducting building entry and room clearing.
